On 26 March 1998, Johor Bahru Lions Clubs and MAA Medicare established the first charity dialysis centre at 49, Jalan Harimao Tarum, Taman Centry, 80250 Johor Bahru to provide cheaper and affordable haemodialysis treatment to the unfortunate patient, irrespective of race and religion.Another dialysis centre was opened on 21 June 2004 at 5, Jalan Baisuri, 81200 Johor Bahru to cater for the ever increasing number of kidney patients.
